I may be picking up a pad controller, but was wondering where the instructions are for mapping the pads to the drum and cymbals in your drum software.

I've downloaded a few manuals but they don't discuss that in there. Would that info be on some included disc that you get when you buy the pad controller?

IF you mean "What do I do when I get the midi into my squencer?"

Then no, the controller only sends the infomation.
You need to have something in your sequencer to turn it into audio.

Usually people use a vst called a SAMPLER. Kontakt, Sampletank, Gigastudio or Mach5 are examples.

Here's a guide:

No. The pads need to be mapped to the drums in the software. So when you hit the first pad, you hear a snare. When you hit the second pad, you hear a hit-hat, etc.

But someone told me that info on how to map is on the included disc.
