Here's 1 of 5 new songs that I'm recording as an EP. I'm thinking about re-recording the whole project. There's a few things I'm not completely happy with. Only problem is, it's a real PITA, since I play all of the instruments and vox myself, while running the DAW. Not to mention that I'm going to have carpal tunnel surgery in the next few weeks, which will put a halt to my recording for a little while. Any thoughts? Should I just stick with this?

just uploaded a new mix. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Like the tune and playing a lot.

It sounds complete, except the vocal is dull. I think some delay/ verb to lay the breath of it over the band would put it 'there'. Maybe a little more HF?

The whole recording is a little on the dull side. Not a lot of 'depth'. This is pre-master? But I think if the vocal were shining, it would be showcased, and all would sound OK.

I like it. Nice tasteful solo. Guitars sound thick. I agree the vocals could use some treatment. Delay, verb, whatever. Something to have it sit a little softer in the mix. Backups sound great.

Are those real drums? If so you did a good job with them. Snare can be just a little louder. Just barely. Kick sounds great. Nice attack and thump.

Good job overall.

Sounds like a respectable pop-punk song. Everything sounded fine to me.

Everything sounds great. Nice tune, too. Really well put together and a very nice listen.

The drums are real, played by me. This is just a pre-master version. All I did was make it loud in sound forge. It's all still a work in progress.

Ahh, some cool power pop. I feel ya on the CTS; I have it in both arms, I do exercises that help me stave off the knife.

I might could stand more lead vox in this mix. Kick has a great tone, but relative to the rest, I might pull it back 1dB. (I can't believe I'm saying that, I'm a drummer fer crissakes :D) I can't find anything substantial to complain about. Great vox, well packaged, too.

Very enjoyable tune, I think you have it going on, no reason to scrap it at all.
