The question is, is she a great guitarist, or merely a pretty face? As usual, it will be decided by a RUMBLE! And the only rule of a RUMBLE! is that the winner must be decided by arguing!
Here's the track, loosely inspired by the title track from Pet Sounds (and a little bit borrowed from the album's other instrumental, "Let's Go Away for a While"):
Orianthi Pet Sounds Rumble
I didn't really try to follow the track at all; I wanted this to be my pet sounds--Brian Wilson put a lot of odd instruments together because he liked them, and I picked some that I like. We share a love of sleigh bells, but other than that I made some different choices. Sadly, I cut the didgeridoo track for the final mix; it just wasn't working.
I picked a simple harmonic part; I think you could play in many different keys over this one. Em, probably harmonic, or C# would be obvious, but Eb could work if you pushed it. I think A should work too. Sorry about the timing, the bass and git were one take no punches no edits, and I'm getting tired
But the bells were set down first on a click track, so it's not too sloppy.
To play, just play any instrument(s) over the backing track, which you can cut/slice/dice/transpose any way you like.
Ready . . . GO!
PS My actual entry will be tomorrow night . . . I'm going to bed!
