Hey folks, as always I'm looking to improve my mixes, so I humbly submit "On Brighter Shores" for your listening pleasure (or disgust)--and more importantly, your feedback.

Obviously, I'm working with VST's (primarily), Kontakt stuff on the first half and primarily East West stuff for the latter half. Kind of going for a Thomas Newman/Harry Gregson-Williams vibe.

For the mastering, I used: Solid EQ (Native Instruments), Enhanced EQ (Native Instruments) Solid Bus Comp (Native Instruments) and Ozone. The first EQ is subtractive, second is additive, the compressor is quite light, and I only use Ozone for the multi-band compression and limiting.

Thoughts?

This is something I really wanted to learn: How to compose music for films and animations. You work definitively fits in that category. Nice arrangements and instrument placing. By the way, I'm listening your track in a properly treated room with great acoustics. I can tell you that it sounds really good.
