Orchestral mix

Hey friends, so I just finished up a score for a documentary I got contracted for. The more I get into the soundtrack business, the more I'm trying to perfect my mix. At this point I have a pretty stable mixing (and mastering) arrangement, but I'm just curious to get your input. Here are a few recent tracks:

Thanks for any feedback. Also, I'll just note that for the mastering I'm using a combination of EQ's and compressors from Native Instruments and Ozone at the end of the chain.

EastWest is the bomb, isn't it? Wish I had it. I got no nits on this... The drums have a lot of dimension, great use of dynamics throughout. The sound field is pleasantly complicated, dimensional, and deep. Made me think a little bit of the theme music to The Newsroom. You've created an evocative space here; I think you really nailed it. I can't think of a single suggestion I'd give it. Congratulations on a lovely and superbly professional piece.

Whoa, thanks man! That's certainly encouraging...

And yes, East West is unbelievable. It is industry standard for a reason! I really do like LASS 2.5 too, but I think it's a bit too expensive for what it is. I'm finding though that when you combine the two as I did in these pieces...magic happens :thumbs up:

Beautiful composition, arrangement, sounds and mix. Small point of attention (although it's purely my personal taste and highly subjective opinion): I would like to have some of the percussion have more oomph and impact, not all, but some. Altogether, beautiful! Hats off.

I thought it sounded nice. On "Only the Beginning", there were a couple of things. There is a cymbal crash at about :22. It's pretty wimpy. The song builds up right there, and right at the climax there's a wimpy cymbal crash. It should be powerful. Maybe just turn up the volume on it? The wind chime things could be a little bit louder too.

But all in all it was good.
