ORB 2.2 Gig Drive

I backup my VF-16 with this drive. However, my disks are full & I need some more space. Most of the saved data is from old projects I don't need anymore. So how do you erase or overwrite the disc with the VF-16? I can save & load, but I can't write over old programs....it says "disk full!!"
