I've got an old Yamaha MD4s that I'm going to keep in my office at school for recording student groups from time to time. The machine has preamps that are fine for what I'll be doing, but no phantom power. I'd like to get a couple of inexpensive-but-not-godawful condensers to use with it so I could just stow them in the carrying case and go without having to carry outboard phantom power or pres. What options are out there to consider? I've never looked for this kind of thing before.
