Optimus Mixer with Porta2 work?

I picked up an Optimus sound mixer from a friend for pennies. Model SSM-1250 3 Channel Stereo Mixer. Is it possible to use this unit with a Porta 2. I also have a Kenwood Duel cassette - KX-W595 I use for mastering. How would I use this mixer if I could.

That sounds like a Radio Shack mixer (Optimus is their "house" brand)... I have NO IDEA what you'd use that for... prop it against the control door to keep it open once in a while - it will possibly improve the air flow...

It's not too useful in audio applications though, unfortunately. Good thing you only paid pennies for it....

Bruce, I took your advice and applied it! How remarkable, I had no hiss, distortion or popping. Come to think of it, no nothing on playback... Kidding! I was cracking up when I read your reply. That's why I asked. I have no clue. Oh well, thanks for a straight answer. Your right, I'm glad I only paid pennies.
