Optimum Vocal room/booth

Sorry to post this in the Mic forum, but I thought it might be OK, since the room is part of the mic/vocal chain.
Anyway, is there a best vocal room? Or is this another taste/color thing? I would assume you want a flat, dead, non reverberant space. Otherwise, you'd be stuck with any character generated by the room.

yes, in a booth, you're looking for as dead as possible, and isolation from outside. Small spaces are difficult to make sound good "live." Try posting in the studio building forum, they'll be able to help with the specifics
