I hit the power switch on my blackface during playback. Now it just gives the "Err 7" anytime i try to play any tapes.
Have i shafted my system?

Hold down the REC+PLAY buttons as you power up next time to re-initialize the unit.... if that doesn't work then you just MAY need a trip to the vet......

Open it up, carefully extract the tape, clean all the grease that got smeared all over the head and tape paths?
Go cautiously (and get instruction if you don't have it first).

the tape is out, it ejected ok after the event
