One slot left, what should fill it?

Trying to decide between an EQ module or another type of compressor, like a purple action, or komit. I'm thinking I can do all the EQ in the box. Any thoughts from the more experienced as to what would complete this box the best. Recording everything except drums.

Yes, there was one on ebay a while back, but I didn't pull the trigger. If you don't mind my asking, what do you like about it so much vs. just eq-ing in the box? Does it really sound better to you?

It seems to bring to life whatever I run through it compared to the software I was using. I'm not sure any "recording" terms to use, but it just does a great job.

cnix, spent the last couple of days trying to decide between the empeq and the hammer. Rave reviews on the hammer from everyone. However it's two channels and twice the cost. I think eventually, I'm going to save up and get one. But for now, found a used empeq and bought it. Thanks for the rec. Can't wait to try it out.
