i just bought a US-122. i setup everything and use my mic to record.
but when i was singing on mic, i can't hear anything in my headphone. there r no mute on my sound control panal. anyone can tell me what's wrong or what should i do?

If it is just like the 428 from where you need to record with the volume kind of low you can't hear it in the headphones either but as long as it is recording it's ok

If the mic requires phantom power you will need an outboard phantom power box since the Tascam doesn't offer it.

This is incorrect. The US122 does have phantom power. You do need to turn it on, if it's required.

To hear in the headphone, turn the DIRECT switch on, the DIRECT MONITOR knob up, and the PHONES knob up. Also, plug the headphone into the PHONES jack.

Hope this helps!

I used the US122 to record the song in my signature line. I'm pretty happy with it.
