Because I know I want All my hifi (?) white snake tapes on cd!

Definitely not worth $150 - but cool nonetheless.

I'd install on it on my pc. Maybe I'm just a nerd.

Hmmm...cassette deck into line-in, into sound forge, and get some free WAV-MP3 converter. That's the free method.

I suppose that if you don't have a decent cassette deck, and don't want to think about what you're doing, sure, why not? burn 150 on it.

Yeah, but it doesn't look as cool. Besides, I'm installing a cigarette lighter into my pc next month when I could just use matches for free.

Hey!

Yeah, that's a cool product, for sure, but you could accomplish the exact same thing with a standard cassette deck, a Y-cable, and a PC with a soundcard & recording software.

As one-touch pc wonder gimmicks go, it's second to none. It's great in concept for any cassette head that no longer has a viable cassette deck lying around, but has tapes he wishes to archive.

The practical engineer part of me doesn't need it. The geeky gadget loving side of me would get it in a snap. It just depends on which side of me has control of the Visa card. ;)
