Hi there; I got an email from the producer of a low-budget film stating that he wants to use my song "All My Life" in a romantic drama/comedy that he will begin production on this summer. This is yet another benefit of mp3.com, as he would never have heard the song otherwise. Anyway, my home studio is still not set up in the new house yet, but for after I get it set up I'm contemplating maybe adding a couple of things to this recording just in case the movie gets a lot of attention and the song gets a lot of listens. I'm thinking of adding some harmonies (maybe a 'vocal wall' sort of thing like in "The Only Living Boy in New York" by Simon & Garfunkel) and possibly adding some more guitar in there just for the sake of getting my Lowden in there (I didn't own it yet when I recorded it...this recording has 3 tracks of my Taylor 414 which I sold). Here's a direct link to the song page: http://artists.mp3s.com/artist_song/851/851643.html
I'd be happy to hear any suggestions regarding whether to leave the song as it is, add harmonies, add another guitar, or anything else. Also, constructive criticism regarding re-recording of parts that may not be 'quite right' would also be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Hey, I didn't listen to the song yet ( i will in a few minutes), but i'd say that if he requested to use your song, i'd leave it just the way it is...if you make any big changes or anything, it might end up not fitting the movie the way that he thought it would or something...just a thought.

Ok, i just listened to the song, I just wanted to mention again that I wouldn't change anything :) And I gotta ask, did you autotune the vocals? I swear I can hear it in a few parts...could just be the mp3 encoding though...Nice song!

Great song, Rick... I wouldn't change a thing! :)

If you did, it might change the feel of the song, so let it be.
Congratulations on your song being chosen for a movie!
After hearing "All My Life", I can see why he'd want to include it in his film... it's a sweet tune.
I wish you MUCH success! :)
