Going from memory here so I may be wrong.
Fender-style 25.5"
Gibson-style 24.75"
PRS and some others 25.0"

OK cool, so 25" is about average. Reason I was asking is I just bought an electric, and it's scale is 25". I thought that was kind of small, but apparently not.
