Okay, that bass is absolutely a fretless.
I'm not sure where all the unsure thoughts are coming from. Lots of fretless basses have guide markers where the frets would be.
Just listen to the technique......
Not to mention the unmistakable gleam of a slick fretboard.
It's a fretless already.
