Sorry if this has been covered - I couldn't find the answer in a cursory search.
I'm going to upgrade my soundcard. I only need 2 ins and outs. My only concern (besides price of course) is to get the signal in and out with as little change/artifact as possible.
I'm looking at Lynx 1 and Lynx L22.
Would I get a better (less noisy) conversion if I used the digital I/O of a cheaper card (audioplile or similar) and bought outboard converters such as flying cow? Would this be only the equivalent (signal-wise) of the delta1010 (which I understand is a step down from the Lynx's)?
I can't afford the lucids. Is there anything in between quality-wise?
Thanks for any suggestios - I'm pretty ignorant of soundcard technology.
