Excellent capture Greg.
The bass is much improved with the re -up.
Johnny Thunders was cool - I bought the LAMF Revisted/remastered last year. Pretty slothfully cool indeed.
Something about the song doesn't quite gel with me at present - even on 2nd listen. It could be the Cow Punk double time slip slappin' or something else. It could also be me: I've had a lousy fortnight or so at the place of employment - maybe it echoes my work sentiments too closely for me to warm to.
It's very good but not as fabbo, in a composition sense, as the last couple - sorry. You know I'm one of your biggest & long term fans -
I figured I'd best be straight & not piss in your pocket!
CD - W H E N ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Damn you, Ray!

Haha, just kidding buddy. It's all good. Hell, I'm the biggest, most unapologetic Ramones fan ever and even I don't think every one of their songs is a flawless classic. No need at all to apologize. I know I can count on you to give me real feedback and that's what I'm after and you're always appreciated.

Ahhhh the CD. Well, the mixing/mastering is done! I'm working on the cover art and inlay card stuff, then it's off to copyrighting, then it'll be ready. Not much longer!

It's like '77 all over again.

I used to be a big punk fan but it doesn't do so much for me any more. Drums & guitars sound great.

Lol. I used to be a punk fan, but I never grew out of it. :p

Thanks for checking it out.

I don't really think of my music as "punk" in the traditional sense. I'll call it punk and other people may call it punk. It's an okay label just to keep things simple. It's just rock and roll to me.

Yeah I keep a fishing log. Most people that are good at fishing do. Tides, wind, water temp/clarity are all important if you wanna catch good fish.

Thanks for checking it out.

Wow, an OCD punk rocker. How novel... :D Anyway, you kicked it's butt, as I fully expected you would. I envy you your double kick, and general speed on the drums. As time passes, your mastering skill has gotten better and better. I really don't have anything to gripe about, except I'd like to kick a little harder on the bottom end. LOVED the section ~2:15.

Relentless!

Totally spot on Greg. You know what you want and how to get it. Great sounds and those lyrics kick ass! Well done man...

Thanks a lot Llarion. I think I shot myself in the foot by disorting the bass a little too much on this one. It's tough getting a thick bottom end that doesn't sound crappy with a distorted bass gtr. I might go back to the drawing board on that one.

Thanks dude. Lyrics are always a hassle for me, so I appreciate that. I'm always self-conscious about my lyrics. They mostly suck, but I'm generally okay with that. I just wanna bring the rock. :D

Try pumping 64Hz and pulling back 80Hz, on a fairly narrow Q (and I mean very unsubtle amounts, as much as 15dB) and then the opposite, and take whichever pushes better.

Across the whole mix, or just the bass track?

Ah, Greg, your lyrics are really quite good. If having low self esteem about them means you write them well then I'd better not compliment you on them or you might become confident & lose the edge that makes them work so well or something like that.

Just the bass track. But, that trick works as a way to give the kick and bass their own spaces on the master bus, but you have to be more subtle about it.

Yeah, Ray, you have to insult him to keep him honest. :)

Lol. I feel like a fool writing lyrics. I just wanna keep it simple and not too serious. I can't pull off serious.

I gotta say though, this one was fun and I'm generally pretty pleased with it, but I have high hopes for this next one I've got cooking. It's just drums and bass right now with a scratch guitar track, but I'm liking it a lot so far. It's raw and no-frills and speeding out of control. There's still plenty of time to screw it all up though. :p

good stuff greg. good drumming as well. on a side note, would you be interested in doing a collab? i'm a sucker for some punk, but since the scene is dead around here there's nobody to jam with. I'd be happy to lay down some drums for your stuff

Thanks dude. Yeah maybe. I don't really need a drummer for my own stuff though.

Thats quite the tune there Gerg.

Normally punk dont sit that well with me, but this one got my rockin feet stompin.

It also had a small proggish moment in there:cool:

anyways as it goes for sound, mixing and playin, all I can say is great:)

Thanks a lot dude! Haha, I'm gonna revisit my epic prog-punk idea and give it another go. :D

this is true, and i don't really need a guitarist/vocallist/bassist for mine, but it's always fun either way. whichever way you decide.

Holy shit, that's some great drumming. I wish I could play double bass 1/10th as well.

Nice work, and srsly - very nice drumming.

Fag.
