Logic is not bundled...software only. There are many good quality cards one can use with it...

Works great with my Motu 828... :)

To get back at that whole bouncing thing...it does bug me too that it is real time. I don't belief it has anything to do with being more accurate. Then all plugin processing would have to be in real time also. It's just a math calculation.

I understand the few minutes extra are normally no problem. But I use protools a lot to do live-cd editing. I put all the mixed tracks in the program, a lot of audience samples and bounch the whole thing to 2 track. It takes an hour. That's a long time if a clients is watching his clock (I do work on an hour rate so its not hurting my wallet)

well, time is one of the biggest costs in any application.

I discussed this same thing with a guy of Digi in their forum. The simple answer of it all is that they are selling AudioSuite plugins, which are non-realtime and they have a great audio quality. So, they are answering the question themselves. If you add that Motu and the others also do it, it's clear that you don't need to bounce in realtime to have the best quality.

Even so, non-realtime bouncing helps for error recovery.

Logic Silver comes bundled in the Roland Studio Pack. Not sure if it works on mac's but its a good deal for $700. They also have a studio pack pro coming out.

Logic...

...Buy Platinum. The extra few hundred is well worth it!

Trust me... :D
