I want to use an omni for a drum overhead. What would be the main differences between a dynamic and a condenser? pros and cons?

I can't think of any cons of using condensers as overheads, other than "they don't give you a gritty, muddy, crappy sound"

I used both dynamic and condenser omni's on drum's and i liked both
2 complete diff. sound. on paper the condenser are supirior but the dynamic omnis (beyer m101) sounds great to, could be nice with overly bright cymbals
the cool thing about omnis on drums is that you can put it pretty close and stil having a 'spacious' sound, without the boomy-nes you get with close miking.

And given that the majority of drummers use nothing but overly bright cymbals, maybe a dynamic is the way to go.
