older digidesign interface?

hey so yesterday i found an imac g5 1.6ghz with 2gb memory at a pawn shop for $250 and snagged it. it has os x 10.5.8 i believe and is installed with pro tools le 8! any chance i can find an older pro tools interface to work with this just to get me started? are there any old 888 units or anything that would work like this? im not sure how the whole hardware aspect of these systems works.
 
imac doesnt have any PCI slots so you will be limited to firewire interfaces. 888 is a based on a core PCI card..
 
oh ok. then i guess what im asking is if theres a predocessor to the 002 mixer or something like that i could find fairly cheap that will plug right into this thing and fire up pro tools.
 
just spotted a digi 001 rack o CL for 60 bucks. is that a usb or firewire interface and would it fire up this version of pro tools?
 
001's require their own PCI card, so that won't work. Go with the 002
 
well if i had 500 bucks laying around i would get a 002. im wondering if anyone knows of any older interfaces... i dont want to have to get an mbox or something. if this guy has the pci card for the 001 ill see if the 001 is compatible with my dino pc haha
