check out and please give feedback to one of my last live gig recordiongs. There is mixed audio with video.( video was just for fun!) Try "Under my skin" a Sinatra tune. It has kind of a long begining so be paitent, need to cut it shorter.

jmorris - we need a link..... :o

Little "Big Band". Excellent. I dig the bass player. I see you're multitracking but still for a live cut, this is just outstanding. The trumpet player's pretty hot too. It's gotta be hell splitting up the take at the end of the night with all those folks in the band. :D

Sounds terrific , Morris.
Very good, are you the singer?

Wow!

Killer trumpet solo (I love it) !!!

(sorry for the "fun" part, but when video starts, I was hoping some joke, kinda "just for laugh"... :D)

Congratulations again, very good band!

Ciro

One more comment:

Excelent, perfect singer (if are you...)

Hey, hope you understand my comment for the video :)
It´s uncommon someone post video here, and audio is so good ...that my first impression was that you were not playing.
Sorry for any "misunderstood". ok?

Ciro

$.02

recording seems cool but i disagree on the singer... i barely made it to 1:15...

No, I am not the singer, nor in the band. It is my old band that I used to play with a few years ago that I recorded recently. I video'ed it just for fun. Very dark and hard to make out but it still was fun. This was one of those gigs where I made sure the sound guys had the mic's I wanted. Sound was hired out. I asked for a list of the mics. They turnned up with only sm57's for everything and a senn for kick. No condersers for hi hat or overheads like they said, should have brought my mic's> arg! Anyways, tried to make the best of it.
Thanks for the nice comments, Im just trying to catch up to you guys!

If I ever play live I will definitely look you up (can you come to Canada?) Excellent quality on this mix. Pass along my compliments to the band when you can, they are all top notch.

Would love to see more of these videos here...... cool......

:) :D :) :D

Its not bad. I record by sets so back at my studio I just fire up set 1, press play on the alesis hd24 through my motu2408mkIII into sonar 5. I stop after each song and put it in its folder. I should say that after the first song I mix it close to its final version, then save it as a templete and run all of the rest of the tunes into it. That way all my "known" presets are all set. ie. drum compression, limiters on vocals etc, pans .

well done friend thats very well sung and your band was right behind you which is the way any big band should be ..well done and keep up the good work all the best from The Tartan Rascals.
