Which plate reverb brands and models did the old 50's and 60's records use?

Why did the old plate reverbs sound different? what is the size of these? what was the size mostly used for records in the 60's?

The plate metal or pickup head have anything to do with the sound?

What type of plate reverb did oceanway use?

How do i change the plate reverbs resonance?
 
EMT is the brand

It's different because the sound is created mechanically, the plate vibrates and reamplifies the signal.

Use the dampening plate to change the resonance.

Walters is a guy (or guys) who pops up every few months on audio forums, starting what seems to be an innocent thread, but then turns it into an experience of lunacy. On purpose. Some people play along, some people get really mad, some administrators throw him off the forums etc.

The responses can get to be be pretty funny, especially for the poor unknowing folks who fall into it. But just realize that you're spending time responding to a poster who is pulling a prank.
 
I guess this means Eddiecat is Walters, huh? I need a scorecard to keep up with the players. I feel like I've just entered the Matrix. How can I be sure BRDTS isn't really Walters having a conversation with himself? :rolleyes:
 
There's a nut like him on the Twisted Sister forum who posts at least 10 messages a day. Maybe they're brothers or something.
