(I have posted this on other forums also)
Anyone used any of these budget tube mics? The Oktava has been around a while, but no-one seems to ever mention them. I know people say that Oktava have had a QC issue in the past, but I'm not sure if this is still the case? Most seem happy with the other Oktava's, but what about the MKL2500? Is it similar sounding to the MKL100?
Also, Apex is a brand that is always frowned upon, but I'm wondering if they are that bad? They must be as good as a lot of the other Chinese mics (not all) and they can be had for really low prices. Anyone used the 450?
