What do the two switches on the back side of the MK-319 do? The only instructions I got were in Russian. In addition, can anyone recommend any good web pages that describe microphone/pre-amp phasing?

One cuts back the overall volume (use it for extra loud sources) and the other cuts back the low end a bit.
