i love negative rep

Oktava started to outsourse parts/components in china. Bodies for dynamic
microphones and the like.

> do you know what happened to create this split if it's true.

Oktava terminated an agreement with AFM, it's former exclusive distributor,
and has now direct connections with resellers worldwide.

I would not call it a split.

Perhaps you mean the problems they are having with minor shareholders at
home.

Oktava is much more than the microphones. It is also a lot of industrial
real estate in
Tula, most of it presently leased.
Some property may have changed owners.

The main manufacturing units, making microphones, electromagnetic locks,
telephones, public address systems remain whole to best of my knowledge.

The microphone devision in any case remains unsplit. Best regards,

Interesting. So I wonder what that means for prices/availibility in the US...

i'm betting (i didn't ask this) that we see both price and avalibility go up.
oktava thinks they can be the man in between china and the germans

They'd be right!

Oktava reviews consistently get the most reads at Mojo Pie.

BTW (added after Flatpicker's thingy below) thanks to Warhead and Flatpicker for writing two great reviews on the MK319 and the MK012. The review by Flatpicker deflated a couple of myths about the MK319. It ran so contra to conventional wisdom that I got an MK319 and verified his observations. I was talking to Warhead last night and lamenting that he can no longer write reviews for me since he is gear pimping. It's hard to find someone with a good set of ears who can actually write. So, Flatpicker, maybe you can write a review of the AT4050 for me. Please!!!
