Right, I know this is a Fostex forum and that you guys will probably recommend the vf, but I'm really curious about the D12.
My main questions (and I know the D12 is so new that most people don't even know much about it yet) include how the effects, sound quality, and overall quality (including physical look and feel) compare.
It seems to me that the D12 (according to Korg's website, even) is just a 12 track version of the old D16 (version 2) without the touch screen (whoopie). I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice about the older D16 and how it might compare to the VF-16.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
(Also, I have another question that may be for the MIDI guys - with a digital recorder like either of these that has MIDI in/out/thru, can you route MIDI info from an external sequencer, like say, my Roland Xp-60? What I mean is can you, with one MIDI cable send individual track information from the sequencer to individual track inputs on the recorder? - Thanks again - I have no clue what MIDI even stands for, much less what I can actually do with it)
