I can only find logic express and studio on the apple website. So whats this Logic Pro thing?

logic pro is the recording software that comes in logic studio. the differences are few, but i believe you can't mix in surround in express, and some synths aren't included. also in express there is no TDM support. When you buy express, it comes with some loops and the software. When you buy Studio, it comes with waveburner (mastering software), Mainstage (live performance) Compressor (not an audio comp, i think its for video?)...i think thats it.

Peace, T :)

You get alot more instruments and loops with pro.

I think I payed $200 for express then $300 more to upgrade to studio.
So it doesn't really cost any more to get both than it does to get just
studio. Plus you have another benefit you can run express on one mac
and studio on the other if you use the 2 step approach.

Logic Express 9 is actually the same as Logic Pro 9 - without the following features:
- DAE/TDM support
- DAP (distributed audio processing with Logic Node)
- Surround
- EVP88
- EVB3
- EVD6
- Sculpture
- Space Designer
- Delay Designer
- Linear Phase EQ
- Match EQ
- Multipressor (there is only the 'Preset Multipressor' as in LE7/8)

sticky request? so we never have to hear this question again?
