This is certainly not the best, but is one of the coolest solos Ive ever heard in a song, and one of my favorites.
I think it borrows from the who my generation where the bass solo does a solo in segments, but it really is genius.
cue to around 1:00 if you dont want to listen to all of it

Just about any of the solos on Dark Side Of The Moon or The Wall. Gives me goose pimples.

I will second this.
I bought Dark Side way back in 1973, wore it out in about a month.
I still listen to that album about once a week.
David Gilmour is amazing...............

i find both comfortably numb solos to be just about perfect.
but also... the one note solo in i wanna be sedated... amazing!

My first loves. Clapton Have You Ever Loved A Woman just tasty... Ritchie Blackmore Highway Star need I say more? Carman Appice I'm Losing You (drum solo done well.)
Some great solos. Mats Eriksen Arrival of Love (Circus Maximus) Steve Harris Powerslave (Iron Maiden) Punky Meadows & Greg Giuffria The Tower (Angel) Lincoln Brewster The Power Of Your Love
We're not even scratching the surface. Rick Wakeman, Steve Morse, Stanley Clarke, there's a huge list...

Gary Moore.......Still Got The Blues For You. Freddy King..........Everybody wants to Go to Heaven. Both are awesome solos.

The two greatest solos are #1 Gilmour Comfortably Numb #2 Randy Rhoads Mr Crowley..

Rick Derringer. Don't ever say goodbye.

Nothing special but just rings my bell.

Blue Oyster Cult...Don't Fear The Reaper may not be my favorite...but it is downright EPIC!
