OK, so who has tried the Nady ribbon??

Uh, you're kidding, right? I'm listening a PC speakers and they are very different.

It's really a bizarre comparison--why would anybody expect a ribbon to sound like a condenser? Usually ribbons have a significant rolloff above 12kHz or so. I haven't seen the curve on the t-bone, but that's what it sounds like.

Also the guy used different pres for the two mics in the test. I have no idea what he was trying to demonstrate.

He explains later on why he did that. It's not really a comparison.

I listen to them on good monitors and yes, they sound different, but not shockingly so.

Yes, I wasn't shocked. The ribbon sounded like a ribbon and the condenser like a condenser. If a ribbon sounded like a condenser, I doubt anyone would want one, as condensers are far less fragile.

The t.bone against another ribbon would be more interesting.
