......this is another recording from my vaults. I'd say this is almost 30 years old.
Allow me to set the stage.
This was a band I was in with two of my best friends in the world, Butch and Maggie Mizell. The kind of friends that you stay close to even if they move away. I go see them most years.
This was at a gig and the recording is just a couple of Shure mics stuck out in front. So mixing is out the window. Basically, this is exactly how we sounded live.
In this song, Butch is playing the Fender Rhodes, Maggies singing and I'm playing bass. I don't remember who was on drums, that was a revolving position.
Note: I'm playing bass and singing one of the parts. Also, when the two girls sing (The Lickettes) I'm singing one of those parts.
