I need to buy three lapel mics (xlr connections to a Shure M267 4 channel mixer) to record only spoken conversations in a sit down atmosphere. Any suggetions to a good mic that will handle my simple demands but with good quality (as I'm ultimetely burning this to CD). Also, when I shop around I see a lot of numbers in which I really don't know what's acceptable. For instance:
Signal To Noise Ratio: 58 dB, 1 kHz at 1 Pa
Dynamic Range: 76dB without battery module, 91dB with battery module
Frequency Response: 20 - 20,000 Hz
Open Circuit Sensitivity: -42 dB (5.6 mV) re 1V at 1 Pa
Maximum Input Sound Level: 105 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D.
Obviously a newbie, but which of the features above are important for my situation and what type of ranges should I be looking for? Also, I'm seeing Mono and stereo mics. The Shures has a mono output so do I stick with a mono mic? Many thanks for those willing to tackle this...I don't think I've asked this question before....
