OK, Alesis, Beringer, Lexicon, Zoom, or Other?

Thanks GT but I can't get thru to Manny's either. But FINALLY MADE CONTACT with Sam Ash and tha' sale. Picked up a Lexicon MPX100 for $185 and Sony 7506 headphones for $89. They sell the RNC's for $179 but don't have any in stock. Drat!
 
Well,

No proccesor for me, the water pump on my Buick, just died.

The money will now be flying from my wallet, faster than bats out of hell!!

Maybe another time, and thanks for the help. I'm happy for you guys anyway!!

from whomever that sell's it. Yeah england,Sammy's was out of stock so I called Jubal(remember him!?) and he ordered 1 for me at 175.00 (whoop-dee-d@mn-doo,I saved 4 WHOLE dollars).You got a good deal on the Lex100 but I have this feelin' that if I was there I MIGHT have gotten it for you

Hey GT,Manny's is selling the Zoom 300 display models they
had in their showcase hence the reason why their 50 bucks.
Though they are a little dusty,and been used for customer
demonstration only,the 1 I auditioned was perfect.I'm off
Friday but will be stopping by there and if you want,I can
tell them to hold it by simply showing this thread!

Oh yeah,sorry to hear 'bout the water-pump. I've been there!

Wasn't the water pump, It was a plastic radiator hose fitting that screws right into the manifold, it just snapped off. That and a new serpentine belt, $210.00, ouch!!

Anyway my wife is getting me the Zoom RFX-300 for Christmas, can't wait!!

16-24 track recording is an update of the '70's 8-track cartridges and players! 2 days ago I rec'd the Sweetwater
Catalog in the mail and as most people know,Sweetwaters only
list the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price which is usually 25-40% higher than street price!She looks at a,say,
an SM58 listed in Sweet's for 188.00 and looks at me like I'm crazy even though you,I and every-1 else knows that they sell for 90 bucks!(at Sammy's,for 99.00 you get a free
mic stand and cable).My point is if your wife is gonna buy you the Zoom300 for Christmas or any type of gear.CHERISH her! You're a VERY LUCKY MAN!.I'll be lucky if my wife buys me a cheap git cable from Radio Whack! :)

We've been married for 28 years in january. As they say it will either make you, or break you. We both got tired of the break you thing, so now we treat each other pretty good.

Update,

Tried out the Zoom RFX-300 at Sam Ash with a mic and phones. Very noisy, reverb seemed useless. What a disapointment, had high hopes.

Then tried out Lexicon MPX-100, very quiet, reverb did not stike me as sounding real. Oh well, search goes on.
