Hey T- My daughter is living in Dublin, getting her masters at UCD. If you know of any shares/flats that come up for rent, PM me. She's 22, a non-smoker and looking for a year's lease. The one she had lined up for Sept 1st fell apart, and she's scrambling to find something quick.

Thanks and sorry about the temporary hijack!

Best,

Kev-

No shit? What's her course? Did she try for accomodation through the campus? There's alot of stuff on offer around here, alot of notices up around the place. There are a few good websites (www.daft.ie) but it kinda depends if shes sharing with people or wnats to share or whatever. My bro is doing a masters here too.

Hey T-

As luck would have it, after I posted she received a call back from one of the shares she'd visited, but thought she lost. Seems that the first person chosen couldn't immediately raise the deposit, so the room went to her.

She spent last fall at DCU doing her "study abroad" semester required to graduate from Boston University.

She fell head over heals for Dublin.

She graduated with honors a semester early from BU, and decided to return immediately to Dublin to work -- getting a temporary work visa from one of the student services. She landed a position working the front desk at the Four Seasons Hotel -- where she's still employed.

Frustrated w/ prospects from her BU degree, she decided to apply for a Masters in Management course at UCD, where she was accepted this fall. She's considering continuing on at Smurfit in Finance (she's a math whiz), if things work out well at the school.

If you've a band that plays the area, I'll let her know ... perhaps she'll come watch you guys.

She's VERY familiar w/ "Ohio" --- as it's a favorite I played often around the house while she grew up.

Best,

Kev-
