Oh how I wish...........

A late uncle of mine had a home studio in the 1940's and early 50’s, which consisted of a suitcase style record cutting lathe and a couple mics. Last time I saw the lathe was 1983. Don't know what happened to it after his death. I have a few records of his band made on it, but they are 78 RPM.

Last time i saw one of those was in the Movie "Oh Brother...Where art thou?"
made a pretty good recording too....;)
 
I too, would love to have that.
In the mid-sixties, my band used to record at Jaggers Studio here in Lttle Rock, and I would watch in wonder as Mr. Jagger cut demo 45's for us to take home. He did LP's also. I still have them and they (the acetates) are very cool!
