Hi,
I have this odd idea for reamping a guitar of mine. It has severely mismatchd pickups, all with their own personality. I'd like to experiment with reamping (I have never tried it). Basically, I'm thinking about hooking up output jacks to each pickup, recording them to separate tracks, and reamping one by one.
So, my questions. Would the DI process reduce the differences between pickups?
Also, this would be 3 tracks of one performance. Does this invite all kinds of phase issues? Ideally, I'd send all the signals to my amp individually, without messing with mic placement.
Sorry if this is newbie-ish, the whole concept of reamping and phase cancellation is quite new to me.
If this is a ridiculous idea, someone let me know. Thanks!
