Octava mics? What about them?

I thought I heard that Octava Mics are pretty good. Is this true. All I see from Musicians Friend catalog is that that are pretty cheap. So for the price are they worth it, or would a different company be the best buy?

I have a pair of the Octava MC-012 small condensors and I love them. However, if a small condensor is what you want, I would consider the Marshall 603s. You will not be able to tell the difference between the 603s and the 012, and the 603 costs $65 each. As far as the large condensor Octava mics, I have not heard anybody on here be overly complimentary of them. Again, I would look at the Marshall V-67 for $169.
