You might want to start on page 298 of the big manual.

yeah I have my work cut out for me :)

a friend in nashville sent the program to me and I feel so dumb all of sudden

my "manual" only has 234 pages

Stienberg does not include a hard copy of the manual (at least not with SX3, you only get a smaller "guide") - it should have been installed with the program. Go to the help section.

Nuendo 3 does come with a hard copy of the manual. The english side of the 'getting started' guide is 258 pages long (including the index)

The Operation Manual is 726 pages long (including the index)

One of the reasons Nuendo costs over $1000 more than SX.

Damn - $1000 for a manual - holy crap! LOL :D

Not that they got any of it from this guy.

There are all kinds of other things, mostly stuff for post, that Nuendo also includes for the extra money. But, yes, you do get 2 manuals the size of phone books.

Wow, you spent what, £1500 on Nuendo and haven't got a clue how to use it?

You must have money to burn!#

He said he got it from a friend. I assume he means he didn't pay full price.

Secondly, how are you supposed to learn to use a program like that before you buy it? You have to get your hands on it to learn it. Just DL the manual if your friend didn't send it with the app, and you may want to think about investing in some training via videos or seminars, etc., to help you get going.

Why doesn't he ask his friend how to set it up, or at least, send the manuals. There is no way you are going to get anywhere without the manuals, the program is way too deep.

no a friend gave it to me...its the first program i have ever used.

and yes i have enough money to burn a wet mule with 100 dollar bills :p

I found the manuals BTW

If you can't afford it, purchase a license to a program you CN afford.

The "I don't have that kind of money lyng around" excuse is lame as hell (about as lame as someone who would use it) and is no justification for piracy.

There are even FREE ones, and you can try Reaper (and others) for free (shareware).

To be totally honest my friend sent it to me and I was unaware that he was going to do that. I am going to buy the Firepod which comes with Cubase this week as a matter of fact. I am only playing around with Nuendo just to get used to these types of programs.

I doubt very seriously that ANYONE here would NOT use it IF someone gave it to them. Be for real

And as far as I can recall I didn't say a thing about not having the cash.
