Hi Guys,
Thought this may interest as many people seem to ask on the sound of the NT1 and NTK -
Here's a link of a recording I made last week -
This is a stereo "pair" of Rode Mics - an NT1 on the guitar and an NTK on the Violin.
Not ideal mics for the instruments I know (NT1 is OK on guitar - but too harsh for the violin, and the NTK gives an interesting 'breath' to the violin!) - but good on the vocals.
(I've since invested this week in a pair of Octava MC012. - not tested yet - but a likely bargain at £68 + VAT from Digital Village currently!)
The interesting sound for me is the room program which is generated by Sonic Foundry's Acoustic Mirror.
(The Colewell Playhouse, Uni of Illanois).
Cheers,
RevF
