Hi Guys,
Thought this may interest as many people seem to ask on the sound of the NT1 and NTK -
Here's a link of a recording I made last week -

This is a stereo "pair" of Rode Mics - an NT1 on the guitar and an NTK on the Violin.
Not ideal mics for the instruments I know (NT1 is OK on guitar - but too harsh for the violin, and the NTK gives an interesting 'breath' to the violin!) - but good on the vocals.
(I've since invested this week in a pair of Octava MC012. - not tested yet - but a likely bargain at £68 + VAT from Digital Village currently!)

The interesting sound for me is the room program which is generated by Sonic Foundry's Acoustic Mirror.
(The Colewell Playhouse, Uni of Illanois).

Cheers,
RevF

Not to be nitpicky, but that's the Colwell Playhouse in the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, at the University of Illinois...
;)

I spent a LOT of hours hanging lights, running lights, and doing sound at Krannert as an undergrad. The Great Hall has acoustics that rival anything in North America. Cool facility, great learning experience.

I'm jonesin' for those days...
