but if im running a pc....why would i choose cubase over pro tools?

Are you referring to a pro-tools HD system?

If so, then the best reason I can think of to choose Cubase over it is that Cubase is thousands of pounds cheaper...

Yeah dude the HD systems run like $25,000 or so Cubase is pretty nice much nicer looking anyway. Pro tools is just the Industry standard because everyone wanted a basic platform that everybody can use and not have to switch to diferent programs all the time. all the recording software today is the same just depends on your preference and whether you like the way its setup
