Nothing's Happening

I have Home Studio 2004

My existing files won't play through my MobilePre USB, only through my computer. Nothing will record through my MobilePre. The line on Cakewalk moves when I arm and record, but afterward nothing shows up. Cakewalk detects my MobilePre, and so does my computer. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Cakewalk and my MobilePre, and I'm still having the same problems. Any ideas?
 
After using many and wonderful unpleasant obscenities, I fixed it. Thank you for the help, though.
