I got that part. I was trying to figure out where Emma Rowley fits in to all of this. Is it her voice being emulated? That was the dot I was trying to connect.

Actually, me too. Not entirely clear why she was linked to.

Yeah, seems most people are just confused now, which is why I suggested more communication in the first reply.

Perhaps Odi just intended to share this music for us to listen to without really wanting feedback or discussion.
If that's the case I can move them over to the show off forum.

It'd be nice if you would - once and for all - explain to the forum *exactly* how this was created. Specifically.

Why are you being so cryptic? It's annoying. I want to learn how this was done. Not figure out a puzzle. Good grief.

It's not SUNO/UDIO lol... I do play guitar, bass, drums(E-Kit), keys, and sing. Yes, they are my arrangements and production.
I use Logic. So, MIDI instruments make recording demos very convenient. The female VOX is a fully programmable synth (Synthesizer V).
.....

PS;
I record at home with limited resources.
So, everything I post is obviously a work in progress...

Sorry, I didn't want to make you feel unwelcome. I was honestly confused and was trying to understand. When I get a chance, I'll review some of your stuff.

The vocal is nice and clear. I might try to tame the mid-2Ks - it bites a little bit here and there. It's also a bit cold sounding - like not enough energy in the 400-800 octave.

Drums sound OK. I might turn down the hats a few dbs.

Piano sounds nice and clear. Like the vocal, it lacks just a bit of warmth.

Bass, again, lacks a little warmth.

I think that just a few little tweaks could get this sounding real good.

Hmmmm....
On my system, when I plug in "Back in Black" or "Dr Feelgood" the warmth shakes the whole house.
With my Sennheiser headphones, I'm constantly trying to stop the "400-800" frequencies from battering my brains...

Do you use a sub when you mix?

Never thought of warmth "shaking" anything. Could it be your system is pushing that range a bit?

I don't use a sub when I mix. I don't use headphones either - except to maybe check for balance.

The vocal I'm hearing has a "sterile-ness" to it that suggests a lack of mid-range. To me, I'm not hearing enough of that in the vocal.

I also don't use EQ curves to mix either. I go by what I'm hearing.

I trust the equipment...
Everything that happens after the master track is purely subjective.
