Any tips.
on recording kick drum. Using a d110 mic. And im not getting a lot of body sound from the kick. Its a 22" with both heads on it and a hole cut out. the set is in a rather small bedroom size space. The sound im getting has a lot of knock to it but no meat around it

There is a pillow or some form of dampening inside the kick, right? Without dampening, all you'll get is a bunch of wham-wham, no thud. Check the tuning of the beater head as well, the tighter it is, the higher the pitch.

how far away is the mic? if up close, try moving it around till it sounds better. if not back it up a foot or more
