...but it sure does sound like one!

Still working on it, but I think I have the first two verses w/chorus.

If anyone can offer some critique on vocals, melody, guitar, recording, overall sound or anything else, I'd hugely appreciate it. Thanks in advance, you guys are always helpful! :)

I'd lift the intro levels. I assume it's dificult to mic the strings seperately from the tapping.
The perecussive break needs volume too.
Why does it petre out?
Nice melody, nice playing & the recording seems fine to except where I've mentioned issues above.

Thanks rayc, I appreciate the feedback. Maybe I'll try plugging my guitar in to see if that makes the levels easier to deal with.

Anyone else? Don't be shy! I realize I have alot to work on, so I appreciate criticism.

Very impressive vox. Nice take.

I'd agree with RayC that the percussive section could use more volume.

Impressive playing, and singing. You don't really need much more work. Sounds really cool. Could use more volume, but I'd forgive it 'coz this is a nice melody and the singing can be the focus. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll definitely add some volume in the guitar and the percussive section, it needs it for sure.

Anyone/anything else?

Nice acoustic sounds, and great voice man. Took me a minute to hear what was said about the sounds.....Taps would sound better if they were louder when you are not strumming...it would just make the tune flow a bit more evenly...but man, nice sounds. The guitar has a very real sound, and is well played.

Excellent man....

I agree the guitar needs to be louder, especially inbetween the vocal sections. It sounds good though, what mic did you use to record the guitar/vocals?

Hey Danny...good name! :-)

I used an AT3035 into a US-122. Pretty simple setup. I had the guitar mic'd on a separate track, but the AT3035 seriously lacks for capturing the full sound of my maple 314, so I kept the volume low. Listening back though, it should have been way louder, that seems to be the common consensus.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm posting another song here in a min, in which I plugged the taylor directly into the Interface...sounds very....how do you say....piezo-esque ;-)
