Noob in need of help

Hello,
I have currently bought the Apex 185 small diaphragm pencil condenser mics.
I love it, but the only problem is I dont know how to use it. I have a mixer, power amp and speakers. i just dont know how to work the mics.
It would be much appreciated if someone could help me .

you need to turn on the "phantom power" on your mixer.

condenser mics need "phantom power". if your mixer does not have it, you'll need a mic "pre amp". Search the Art Tube MP, for starters.

nope. i just got them like yesterday. and like my friends condenser mic, there was nothing captured. yes, ive tried many things. buttons, putting the mic on.

Well, in a nut shell ... mics pick up sound.

First of all, you find something you want to pick up the sound of. And then you point the mic at it, and that sound is picked up by said mic.
