Ok guys, I got a GLS ES-57, and it's sounds great for my informal recording environment. But I'm getting way too much noise from my interface (PreSonus Inspire) and it's the same if I unplug the mic. If I go into the Inspire control panel and turn all the levels down, the sound goes away, but then of course the mic doesn't pick anything up. I also turned the lights off, moved the interface around, nothing helped...any ideas?

Here's a sample:

It it could be the computer itself. My laptop's power transformer caused all sorts of problems for me and took me ages to figure out the source. I actually found that ungrounding it (using a 2 prong instead of 3 prong power cord) eliminated all the noise. Go figure!

I decided to hook up just the power and the headphones to the interface and there's still noise...I've hooked it up to multiple outlets, tried multiple headphones, nothing really seems to help. I think I may need a new interface.
