o.k.
for starters, i am a complete and total newbie. so bear in mind that i may be overlooking the simplest and most obvious cause to this problem.
here's what i'm using:
soundcraft fx16 board
delta 1010 @ +4 & 16/44.1hz
asus a7v333/amd xp2100+/512mb ddr sd
cakewalk pro audio 8/win 2000
alesis ra150/monitor one mk2
balanced lines/decent mics
i am getting some clipping on my recordings- drums, bass and guitar. my signal is not peaking on the board nor on the rec meter in pro audio, yet when i play it back it sounds weak and to hot at the same time. this happens whether i'm going direct into the board or through a direct box.
i'm running playback out of the delta's out ch 1 & 2 into the board & out to the amp. i've also tried direct from the delta to the amp. all cables are new.
what do you guys think?
thanks,
richard
