Hi guys, I'm trying to decide on which DAW to commit to. So far I've tried Cubase LE and Reaper. I just downloaded the Studio One Demo to take that for a spin.

I'm just curious as to why there is no Studio One specific forum in the 'User Forums By Brand' area. Is the Studio One DAW not very popular or not considered to be a good DAW? Lack of adequate available support is a concern to me since I'm new to DAW'sand this website is a favorite of mine.

Well, just because there isn't a specific section for the software, does not mean it isn't worthy. Just not popular. Keep in mind tho, if it isn't popular, then your level of support from a forum like this and others, is going to be less helpful. You are more likely to find your way through the initial learning curve by selecting a favored DAW. My 2 cents. :)

Hi Jimmy, ya, I agree. Everyone here has been great with helping me to figure out Reaper and Cubase in those Forums, I hate not to have a forum for S1 too.

Wrapping your head around the one that 'feels' most comfortable for yourself, and sticking with it, seems the best use of time. The more popular ones are that for a reason, and they can all give the same results. Picking one that has less support, seems like a shot in the dark to me.

Agreed! I use windows for recording. Why: (and this has nothing to do with apple but I built my pc that is why I use a pc) Linux #1 is not as easy to use for recording. and #2 the software has far less users and the support is alright if you are an ubuntu user and strictly use the common Linux software but outside of that you have a problem. The less it is used the less support unless of course its a bunch of geeks that use the software and like to share about it

I love reaper but as jimmy said its a matter of preference really. If you can create the same thing with different softwares why not use the most comfortable

Yeah, Two people can walk to the store wearing pants. The guy with his hanging below his underpants will still get there. I am just more comfortable with mine at my waist. I will probably get better service at the counter tho. :D

Studio One is a fairly new DAW in comparison to most. It's only just recently reached version 2. Certainly a great one to use though.
