Hello People:

I Have a lot of time trying to record from the vst instruments, i'm getting crazy! Every night, when i come back from working, i sit down for hours in my computer trying to solve this...

I've read the manual, i completely know the procedure to play and record the vst instruments, and i've done it like a thousand times, but it still doesn't work.

I load the instrument, (specifically the LM7 im trying to use) Connect the In to "All Midi Imputs", The Out to "LM7", i turned on the monitor button and record enable, and there is no VU level when i play the drum, i can hear it because is turned on, but the midi track doesn't look like is getting any signal from the instrument, THE VU LEVEL DOESN'T MOVE!, and of course if i try to record, it makes the rectangle like it's recording but when i stop it, the rectangle dissapears, and doesn't record anything.

I've checked the preferences and all seems to be fine, i almost memorized the manual about this, and i can't find what's the problem with this.

One time i remember i was frenetic trying to make it sound and punchin' a lot of keys and the VU meter of the midi track (I think) it moved a little bit, but i've tryed that so much, that at this time i think it was just an illusion, and it doesn't move really.

If anyone of you can tell me exactly what u regularity do to play a vst instrument, or if any of you have the pacience to explain me step by step what to do, i will aprecciate from the botton of my heart...

When you click one of the buttons on the LM-7, it simply lets your hear the sample, but it does not send it to the midi track. The only ways to actually play the midi information is through an outboard controller (midi keyboard or some other kind of controller) or by filling in information in the Key or Score editor. For instance, doubleclick on the track (where there would normally be a square of recorded midi info). Now double click it again. Now your in the key editor. Put some stuff in there and play the track, now you should hear something.

Hope that helps.

Thanx Halion!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no sound using the alphebetic keyboard

instead of using a real midi keyboard you could also
use a virtual keyboard. Then you play with the ABCD keys.
For that you have to install "virtual Midi Controller Demo"
and you need a virtual driver that fakes the real keyboard
it is called "midi York NT". In the "in" you then choose
Midi York and the "out" you choose LM7. and you start
virtual midi controller klick on it and then play with the ABC keybords
